Fire

For emergencies, or if you require an ambulance, dial “9” on your phone followed by “911”.

Escape routes are posted on your Suite’s entry door and each Suite is equipped with Fire Extinguishers and Smoke Detectors. Please familiarize yourself with the location of all Emergency Exits, Alarms and Fire Extinguishers. Fire Extinguishers for the Suites are located under the kitchen sink.

If the fire alarm sounds ensure that all occupants vacate the Suite immediately via the nearest Emergency Exit. If you are unable to exit your Suite, place a wet towel at the base of the door, call 911 and move out to the balcony area when required.

If you witness a fire, call the fire department by dialing “9” on your phone followed by “911”. Once you are connected with the fire department, state clearly and calmly that “I am reporting a fire at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Once the fire department has repeated confirmation of your message notify Guest Services immediately by dialing 250.439.1160 ext. “5001”. Evacuate the building via the nearest Emergency Exit and move to a safe area away from the building.

While in British Columbia, all guests must respect and abide by Provincial and Canadian Laws and Regulations. If you dial 911 by accident, please call and inform Guest Services at 250.439.1160 ext. “5001” so we can follow up with Emergency Services regarding accidental calls.
