World Cup Ski Cross gold & silver medalist Brady Leman to partner with Western Canada's leading resort management company

CALGARY, ALBERTA: (Feb 16, 2012)

In an effort to offer an exclusive winter experience for their guests while supporting Western Canada’s enormously talented ski and snowboard professionals, Bellstar Hotels & Resorts has implemented an Athlete Partnership Program, launching with Calgary-native Brady Leman.

A member of Calgary’s Alpine Racing Club, 25-year-old Brady Leman is one of Canada’s most promising talents in Ski Cross. With the support of Bellstar Hotels & Resorts, Leman’s dream of securing a place at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, allowing him the chance of winning a coveted gold medal for Canada, is closer than ever.

Leman first emerged as an undoubted talent in Alpine Skiing Men’s Super Combined, where he rose to the rank of third in the country and secured a place on the Canadian Development Team. Leman then turned his sights to the action packed Alpine discipline of Ski Cross, the Winter Olympics newest program, which debuted at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. Leman recently won silver at the 2011 FIS Ski Cross World Cup in St. Johann, Austria and 7th place at the 2012 Winter X Games in Aspen.

Bellstar has committed to supporting Leman in his quest for Canadian gold with dedicated packages, running throughout the year. A percentage of all “Brady-Packages” will go towards Brady Leman’s efforts for gold at the 2014 Winter Games and both 2012 Sport Chek Ski Cross Canadian Championships and 2012 FIS Ski Cross World Cup, held locally at Nakiska Mountain Resort.

Available at their eight acclaimed mountain resorts and lodges in Canmore (Solara Resort & Spa, Blackstone Mountain Lodge, Fire Mountain Lodge, Canmore Crossing and Lodges at Canmore), Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (Glacier Mountaineer Lodge and Palliser Lodge) and Osoyoos / Mt Baldy (Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa), Bellstar has created the Brady Leman Ski Cross package, which combines discounted accommodation rates with a personalized welcome letter, souvenirs from Brady Leman and two adult lift tickets to the nearest mountain resort – Ski Big Three, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort or Mt Baldy Ski Area.
