Clean the World
As part of Bellstar's Stay™ | Green initiative to decrease waste and preserve the planet for future generations, we have adopted the Clean the World Program.
Clean the World is a foundation committed to reducing the waste created by discarded soap and shampoo products while preventing deaths by hygiene-related illnesses around the world. By sending the unused portion of Bellstar's soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion products to Clean the World's recycling facilities, we are decreasing the waste in our landfills and helping improve the quality of life for those in homeless shelters and impoverished countries worldwide.
Each Bellstar resort has been provided with the necessary tools to implement this program and is committed to improve the environment and quality of life one step at a time.

2012 Contributions
In 2012, Bellstar Hotels & Resorts team members collected 1,395 lbs. of bar soap and 1,243 lbs. of liquid amenities! This 1,395 lbs. of bar soap will provide 7,440 bars of life giving soap to children and their families in need worldwide. Bellstar's 2012 contribution diverted 2,638 lbs. of soap and amenities from local landfills, reducing waste and reducing the contamination of our fragile groundwater systems.
2011 Contributions
In 2011, Bellstar Hotels & Resorts team members
collected 1,532 lbs. of bar soap and 997 lbs. of liquid amenities! This 1,532
lbs. of bar soap will provide 1,634 children and their families soap on a
regular basis. Bellstar's 2011 contribution diverted 2,529 lbs. of soap from
local landfills, reducing waste and reducing the contamination of our fragile
groundwater systems.
