Bellstar nominated as sales exec of year at 2008 ARDA conference

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Bellstar Hotels & Resorts Real Estate Sales Manager, Curt Jansen, was nominated for Sales Manager Executive of the Year this month by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). Jansen, based in Osoyoos, British Columbia, with Bellstar Hotels & Resorts at their Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa, was the only Canadian nominated from over two hundred international nominees in fifty-four categories. There were four other nominees for Sales Management Executive of the Year. The final awards were presented at the 2008 ARDA Awards on April 9, 2008, as the finale to the ARDA Convention and Exposition this week in Las Vegas. The winner was David McEnery of Colorado-based Grand Timber Development Company.

"Being nominated for this award is an honour for Bellstar," says Jansen. "The company has grown considerably in recent years and to be recognized for our sales efforts at Spirit Ridge means we are making a strong positive impression on the industry."

The ARDA Awards Program is committed to recognizing the best nominees submitted in areas that include overall professional excellence, outstanding sales accomplishments, product design, advertising, and staff.

Spirit Ridge is the South Okanagan’s only fourth and a half star resort. It is comprised of 94 Villas and Suites, a restaurant, spa, pool and hot tub, and meeting spaces. Phase 2 will include 132 more Suites, a bistro-deli, outdoor pools, conference & meeting facilities, and a fitness centre. It will open in stages starting in June 2008 and be fully completed by the fall of 2009. Phase 3 is currently in the design phase.
