Bellstar Hotels & Resorts celebrates fifth birthday

CALGARY, ALBERTA: Calgary-based Bellstar Hotels & Resorts celebrates its fifth birthday on May 1st, 2008. Established in 2003 by visionary, and now CEO & President, Ed Romanowski, Bellstar has established a boutique brand that is recognized as a leader in condo-resort management and development by the real estate and hospitality industries across Canada.

Over the past five years Bellstar has grown from just one resort under management in Canmore to nine resorts in operation, and seven more on the horizon in Alberta and British Columbia. Within a few years, Bellstar will have more than a thousand resort condo units under management. In addition, the Bellstar family has grown to encompass over a hundred and twenty-five hospitality professionals who are passionate about their work.

“The key to our success is rooted in our talented team of Bellstars”, notes Romanowski, “and their dedication to pursuing Bellstar’s mission of delivering exceptional resort experiences. We are elated that our organization has achieved so much over this short period of time”.

Bellstar’s success has also been recognized by a number of tourism and hospitality organizations. The Canadian Tourism Commission awarded Bellstar with the 2007 Silver E-Marketing Award for the Stay marketing campaign and its use in prolific e-marketing campaigns. The Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association named Bellstar as an Employer of Choice for Best Human Resource Practices for 2008. Furthermore, the American Resort Developers Association recognized Curt Jansen, Real Estate Sales Manager at Spirit Ridge, as a finalist for its 2008 Sales Executive of the Year Award and as the only Canadian nominated.

2008 brings the opening of two new Bellstar-managed resorts: Strand Lakeside Resort in Vernon, BC, and Blackstone Mountain Lodge in Canmore, Alberta; and the completion of the Villas in Phase II of Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa, in Osoyoos, BC.

Bellstar manages and develops destination resorts and boutique hotels in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains and in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley and Coastal Regions.
